We are delighted to now be able to offer our children a wide range of choice about what to read from the schools two well stocked Libraries. The Friends of Woolton Hill have invested significantly in both the school Libraries and we are so proud of the way our Libraries look and how well used they are by classes. Juniors are already enjoying the new range of diverse non-fiction texts and these new books are flying off the shelves! A big thank you to our parents volunteers and our Year 2 and Year 6 Library leaders who are doing a great job of keeping them tidy and running smoothly!
Following a Diversity audit last term we have also invested in some new class stories for each phase of the school. These new picture books feature a range of diverse families and we hope through reading them in class and having discussions about them this will help to educate our children about the range of different relationships in our society. We want to ensure our children are well educated and informed so they can embrace and celebrate differences. We want our children at Woolton Hill to understand that their are different families but the same love.
