In December we launched our new Homework policy and since then we have been impressed with the commitment of the children and the hard work of parents in supporting this vital learning opportunity.
Following parental and staff feedback, we have made some small changes to the Homework policy. Whilst we want to continue to use our online learning platform (Google Classroom) as it is a useful tool for homework and vital for remote learning. We do also recognise that homework being set and submitted online is presenting some challenges. Many families have reported that is is more difficult to complete the homework online and are having to print sheets out at home.
We are seeking to overcome these challenges by making these changes:
We will continue to use Google Classroom to: share homework instructions and to upload spellings. Please continue to to login to Google Classroom each week to view these.
We will now send home a plastic folder each week: this will contain all homework task sheets.
The deadline for homework is changing. Homework will continue to be set on a Friday but is now due back into school on a Wednesday. This gives teachers time to mark the work and return it in the folder on Friday with the new homework set.

We hope that you will share our enthusiasm for homework and recognise the improvements that these changes will bring. Your support is essential and will help us to help your child to fulfil their full potential. If you have any questions or feedback, then please get in touch
