Headteacher's Update
I would like to congratulate all of the pupils on the excellent start they have made to their learning this term. Good attendance is a vital ingredient to successful learning and I am pleased that our Junior School attendance is 97%. Well done to all the pupils who currently have 100% attendance. This is really helping them to build a sequence of learning and ensure there are no gaps.
All of the children have now been back a few weeks and are engaged in some really fun learning. Parental support is a vital ingredient of a successful school and I was grateful to all the parents who came along to the recent meet the teacher even to find out the year ahead. If you missed the event, then you can view the presentation here.
Senior Leaders, Governors and staff are working hard across the Federation to improve the quality of education that we deliver to your children. This work is detailed in our Federation Improvement Plan. Our key priorities for the year include improving the quality of teaching, increasing pupil achievement and developing the impact of leaders across both schools. If you would like to know more, our improvement work is outlined on our website here.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at our St. Thomas' PTA Family Fun day on Sunday - do come along and enjoy the activities.
