Our Outdoor Learning area is now complete and open for our children across the Federation to use. We are delighted with the finished outcome and know it will really enhance our school curriculum - outdoor learning is irresistible to so many of our children!
From September, every class will have two timetabled afternoons of outdoor learning every half term. Classes will start the term with learning about different knots and then move onto den building skills. We are excited to see the area in use each week and children benefitting from this amazing new resource.
The 'Friends of Woolton Hill' continue to support our fundraising for this project, as we still need to purchase essential resources for teaching fire lighting and using tools. We also have ambitious plans for how we can further develop the site for more Outdoor Learning opportunities! Please come to Woolfest and support the Friends with our fundraising for this project.
Many families were able to visit on Friday afternoon and see the completed works, our Year 6 children thoroughly enjoyed 'road testing' the new area and learning new knots and trying them out to make waterproof dens.
