Outdoor Project Lifts Off!

What a busy INSET Day we have had! Staff from the whole Federation have come together to explore our amazing outdoor spaces and learn new skills such a knots, fire lighting, den building and whittling.

The staff are now feeling skilled and confident to teach our new Outdoor Learning curriculum to the children in their class, from September. The training from Hampshire Outdoors team was excellent and the staff team really enjoyed the day and can't wait to teach these new skills. Staff said the training was 'outstanding', 'exciting' and 'boosted their sense of wellbeing'.

In the backdrop of the day our building team, 'Rhythm and Hues' have been hard at work on our new Outdoor Learning space and it is already looking really good. Tereza Monks from the Hampshire Outdoors team was really impressed with our space and how dedicated the staff and leadership team are to developing outdoor learning to support our children's life skills, teamwork, resilience and good overall wellbeing/mental health.

We can't wait to show children and families the finished space and want to once again thank the Friends of Woolton Hill for all their hard work to fundraise for this amazing new resource. We will continue to invest in this project, so please do come and join the fun at Woolfest and buy a ticket for this fundraising event!
