About Quackers
Having provided high quality, affordable nursery childcare for over 25 years at Quackers Day Nursery and Preschool, in 2012 we set up our first Breakfast, After School and Holiday Club and have not looked back since.
Being Husband and Wife with two young children of our own and a very large team of Mums, Dads and Grandparents, our family approach of providing HIGH QUALITY, AFFORDABLE and FLEXIBLE childcare sees our business continue to grow. Whether from Head Teacher recommendation to other Schools where we have started new Clubs, or where Schools and Committees wish for a better provision than what they are currently receiving.
All our Clubs are Ofsted Registered so you can be sure our care meets the highest standards, along with allowing parents to choose to pay with childcare vouchers if they wish. You will find over 90% of our Team are Mums, Dads, or Grandparent themselves which brings with it a level of experience that cannot be taught and we continually work towards 100% of our team having Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene and recognised Childcare Qualifications. We all work as one big family and our staff turn over is almost non-existent, ensuring your child has a stable, friendly, loving environment when at one of our Clubs.
Price and to Book
Open from 7.30am, the children will be offered Breakfast consisting of a choice of cereal, along with toast with various toppings, yogurt and fruit. Breakfast Finishes at 8.10am to allow time to tidy up. Once finished eating the children are free to play games and take part in art and craft activities, or just sit down and read a book.
Once all children have arrived and the register has been taken, we all go outside and play until 4.00/4.30pm (time of year dependent). This allows children to get some fresh air and gives them the opportunity for physical activity such as football, skipping, rounders etc. We also have areas where the children can just sit and talk outside should they be tired after their day at School. During the warmer months we may also set up arts and craft activities outside.
For children staying past 4.30pm a snack is served. Please see our menu on our website for current offerings, but we provide hot food 3 days a week.
Water is available throughout the entire session and during snack a choice of Water and Sugar Free Squash is provided. WE DO NOT provide biscuits or cake.
Please note that due to allergies of other children we CANNOT allow children to eat food brought in from outside the Club. Should your child have a certain food preference please inform us and we will do our best to accommodate them. We cater for all allergies and religious dietary requirements.
After snack, the children will either have access to outside games or a choice of inside board games, arts and crafts, small world or space to sit quietly and read or do homework.
